cajú, marañón or Indian nut?

For ones it has a heart shape thus its name Anacardium Occidentale, that comes from the root “kardia” that means heart, and for others, this pulpy nut from Amazon basin, northern Brazil, has a half-moon shape. Its original name is cajú or chestnut of cajú. But then portuguese colonists arrived, and took the cachew to India, during the XVI century, and that is why it is also known as Indian nut. There cachew is considered as a fortifyer, regenerator and appetite stimulant. We agree. So, let us eat marañón seeds. No, we are not confused, it is another name for cachew. Call them as you wish but eat ecological cachews as ecoGR are. It is healthier for us and healthier for Nature as well.
